Mission Statement
The Mission of Minorities In Politics is: To emerge as a leading Political Action Committee (PAC) in Wake County, North Carolina for the identification and support of progressive candidates, ballot initiative and political issues leading to positive socio-economic and political change for Minority Communities through the power of the people. MIP mission is to ensure the participation of minorities on a political, economic and social level, and to promote and facilitate participation in the government process.
Our Purpose
Minorities In Politics purpose is to promote the interest of Democrats. To seek full representation of minorities at all levels and all activities to ensure that issues of concerns are made known to the party's position on these issues The organization will recruit, train, educate, and carryout programs and projects on behalf of candidates. Encourage and recruit minorities to run for public office, to increase the visibility and influence of minorities in the Democratic Party. Welcome rountable discussion with elected officials, and the community about political issues and concerns for the future of NC. We will Unite, Vote, Knock on doors. Get voters excited!! But most of our entire message should be: What can we do for the voters?
To give financial, moral and physical support to Democratic candidates interested in political office, as well as, those presently serving as elected officials. To provide support for candidates who are sensitive to the issues of the community, especially minority women. To educate members and the community in all areas of politics.
